Fairfield, CA Fairfield, CA Full-time Full-time $65,000 - $75,000 a year $65,000 - $75,000 a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Summary The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) works in a dynamic environment with a number of teams and colleagues, such as a team of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), Program Supervisors, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and Behavior Therapists (BTs) to provide a range of Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders.
The BCBA employs behavior analytic evidence-based methodologies when providing direct and indirect services to Nexus Therapies' clients.
The BCBA consults and provides training to caregivers and staff.
The BCBA conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients.
The BCBA is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans, and individual education plans for clients on their caseload.
As a supervisor, a BCBA is a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activities and service delivery of BCaBAs, Mid-Level Supervisors, RBTs, and BTs.
The BCBA is required to adhere to the BACB's Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts as well as all regulatory and statutory rules of the Board of Medicine for the State of California.
The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director--the BCBA Complies with Nexus Therapies policies and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Administers, conducts, evaluates, monitors, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures Develops individualized goals and objectives for home programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives Trains BCaBA, CMs, RBTs, and BTs on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly team meetings with, BCaBA, CMs, RBTs or BTs Meets regularly with Clinical Director and immediately notifies supervisor of issues impacting client's progress and satisfaction Develops and conducts company's training as assigned by Nexus Therapies Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Clinical Director Maintains consistent, thorough, systematic, and organized record-keeping practices.
Maintaining all medical notes, data, and Personal Health Information (PHI) is mandatory.

With the support of Nexus Therapies' Administration, the BCBA Oversees and directs the scheduling of BCaBAs, CMs, RBTs, or BTs as needed and ensures proper billing Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Nexus Therapies policy and state and federal regulation Fulfills responsibilities by demonstrating the following:
Supervises cases with appropriate frequency Reviews and signs all session notes weekly Completes supervision summaries Develops client goals Align with Assessment data Match items in documented reports Reviews data and monitors client progress Graphs up to date Targets/goals updated within a week of mastery Behavioral approach to intervention ABC data for all problem behavior identified for reduction Functions identified Replacement behaviors identified Makes Program Updates as needed Goals added and removed as data and ongoing assessment indicates Creates/choose appropriate data sheets as needed Dimension being tracked is significant Type of data collection is feasible for employees Data is a reliable measure IOA done at the onset of program to increase validity of data Provides parent training Goals for parents identified and quantified Use Behavioral Skills Training protocol Writes feedback notes Provides monthly parent training on ABA topics/procedures Reviews clients' status of programs monthly Conducts developmental assessments At a minimum, the frequency required by case insurance Monitor and manage initial and ongoing skill assessments, including the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, PEAK, and other assessment tools in accordance with insurance policies Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments for maladaptive behaviors Progress reports are updated to reflect the most current assessment and goal information Upload client's reports to Rethink on the due date Conducts weekly team meetings Review the case, analyze data and make programs changes as needed with the clinical team Ensures team members are trained in the program changes made during the team meetings.
Monitor employee competencies Completes Integrity Checklists for BCaBAs, CMs, and RBTs on a monthly basis Provides training to BCaBAs, CMs, and RBTs/BTs to promote skill development Assesses team member's skills and uses BST to train staff Conducts performance and competency reviews for team members Provide supportive and corrective feedback Seeks supervision and participates in professional development Responsible for gaining education, experience, and training in areas outside of expertise Collaborates with professionals from other disciplines as necessary to best serve Nexus Therapies' clients Interactions with co-workers are professional and productive Focus is on objective observations, identification of problems, and positive actions to take to resolve issues Maintains professional and respectful boundaries in conversations.
