To process non-Call Center functions of the Member Services Department.
Responsibilities:
Processes enrollments and disenrollments for designated programs.
Processes provider disenrollment and no show appointment requests.
Processes PCP assignments.
Processes weekly and monthly membership and eligibility reports.
Coordinates all required mailing notifications and materials for all programs.
Administers the Health Insurance Premium Programs (HIPP) applications and renewal process.
Conducts monthly membership audits.
Researches and processes member billing issues and direct member reimbursements.
Researches and processes eligibility and COB inquiries from other PHC departments.
Assists with the system testing for enrollment and disenrollment processes for special projects and system changes.
Assists with documentation of training materials, policies, and procedures.
Schedules, records, and invoices face-to-face interpreting requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years' experience in health care or a doctor's office preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ten key typing 35 WPM.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking and organization skills required.
Bilingual a plus but not required.
Valid California driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.
Performance Based Competencies Must be able to maintain courtesy and composure when dealing with internal and external customers.
Work Environment And Physical Demands More than 90% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor.
When required, the ability to life, carry, or move objects of varying size, weighing up to 10 lbs.
Ability to use multiple computer monitors, headsets, and keyboard to accomplish tasks.
