Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of Biomerics Interventional Medical Plastics.
You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing procedures and coaching the employees.
The area of responsibility for this role is extensive and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes.
The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan diverse operational activities.
He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.
This position will be responsible for the Fairfield facility's daily operations (Production Management, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Environmental Health & Safety).
Additionally, the Director of Operations will effectively develop and coach their direct reports to support daily initiatives, align department objectives with the business strategy, engage the workforce with increased expectations, and hold the workforce accountable for results.
Responsibilities:
Key member of the Senior Leadership Team Coordinate with support departments to execute production to meet 3rd Day goals.
Work with human resources to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel, and oversee training programs.
Provide synergies enabling efficient operations, ensuring customer service requirements are met, leading to an optimum return on investment.
Production Management Interacts regularly with the executive team and individual department heads to ensure that the company's manufacturing operations priorities are aligned with the overall company strategy.
Provide leadership to and ensure that each Value Stream has all the necessary resources to operate efficiently.
Track revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits.
Drive continuous improvement of quality, cost, safety, and service.
Partner with Quality and Engineering to address customer feedback issues.
Support actions initiated to prevent the occurrence or reoccurrence of nonconformities relating to product, processes, and quality system requirements.
Partner with Engineering on successfully transferring and qualifying new items into production to support the growth of the business.
Drive the lean management of the operations through the shift start-up boards and daily meetings.
Oversight of manufacturing expense, capital, and labor budgets.
Set standards and monitor Value Stream Leader performance, provide performance feedback, write and conduct appraisals, recommend merit increases and promotions, and hold direct reports accountable to policies and performance throughout the year.
Supply Chain Create and maintain a sustainable supply chain.
Interact directly with customers in fulfilling their purchase orders and managing product changes.
Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
Facilities Ensures that all operations and facilities comply with the policies, GMP standards, and SOPs.
Environmental Health and Safety Ensure full operational compliance with all site procedures and applicable regulations.
Ensures safety, health, and environmental compliance are included in everyday activities.
Works with managers to improve employee engagement in safety, health, and environmental initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities May Include Acquisition due diligence support.

Requirements:
10
years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
5
years' experience managing direct reports.
Bachelor's degree or 5
years equivalent work experience required.
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) preferred.
Working within a regulated industry.
ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 Quality Management System preferred.
Developing budgets and writing business plans.
A thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing is required.
Financial acumen, including understanding and responding appropriately to financial data.
Demonstrated success in managing the workforce, conflict management, and working in a team environment.
Advanced proficiency with business software (ERP, MS Office).
NetSuite ERP - preferred.
Grand Avenue Quality Software - preferred.
