Major duties include, but may not be limited to:
Establish an effective relationship with the patient and significant others to facilitate the development of the care plan. Use the nursing process to develop and implement the plan of care:
collect appropriate assessment data for each client, determine appropriate nursing diagnoses, identify expected client outcomes, determine the plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate client outcomes. Develop assessment and management strategies based on a consideration of the physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, and spiritual dimensions of human responses to actual and potential problems. Demonstrate knowledge of the impact of actual or potential illness on the patient's developmental, physical, social, emotional, age, spiritual, economic, vocational, and leisure status. Coordinate and collaborate with patients, families, communities, and members of the interdisciplinary team in assessing needs, setting goals, planning interventions, providing care, and evaluating outcomes. Apply the existing body of scientific knowledge in health care to medical-surgical nursing practice. Participate with patients, families, and other health care providers in collaborative decision making that reflects the understanding that care should be culturally sensitive, ethical, legal, informed, compassionate and humane, and within the boundaries of available economic resources. Educate patients and significant others about measures that promote, maintain, and restore health or promote comfort. Work Schedule:

Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Experience:
BSN and/or Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing recognized by the VA (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Current proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (Required prior to assuming clinical duties and must remain current -VHA Directive 11-77) ACLS certification through the American Heart Association Experience in VA and/or DoD healthcare, VA electronic medical record Member of an appropriate professional nursing organization and seeks continuing education and professional development opportunities consistent with the annual learning plan. 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience within the last 5 years National certification in a nursing specialty Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree. The full performance level of this vacancy is 3. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of 1 to 3. Physical Requirements:
Use and function of all normal motor and sensory anatomy for provision of patient care, reading, writing, listening, observing/seeing, heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, squatting, walking, standing, use of fine motor muscles; visual and auditory acuity; emotional intelligence to respond to stressful and/or emergent situations and crises appropriately and calmly; self-care skills to maintain physical, psychological, and emotional health. Examples include:
heavy lifting of 45 pounds and over, heavy carrying of 45 pounds and over, straight pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, both hands required, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending, ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, near vision correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1-4, far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
