Desirable Factory Autostick Transaxle, Sun Roof & More The current owner informs us that this 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Sedan took possession back in 2011 and he informs us that it originally sold in San Carlos, California and remained in the Bay Area it's entire life.
He was drawn to this particular example due to the impossible to find autostick technology that shifts like a manual without the need for a clutch, and this classic appears to be in very nice shape mechanically.
Our test drive with the 60 horsepower engine showed average acceleration and very nice handling, even at highway speeds.
This VW doesn't need anything to be driven and enjoyed right away.
Cosmetically, this 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Sedan has a very straight body with excellent panel alignment and only minor imperfections to the paint and body.
The chrome and exterior trim are also in very nice condition and compliments the super-clean interior.
From what we can see, we believe this to be a highly original Super Beetle example that has been maintained at very high levels throughout its lifetime, with features such as the factory radio and speedometer still in place.
The autostick also makes this one a lot of fun to drive.
Well Maintained Example at an Unbeatable Price Overall, this rare 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle 2 Door Sedan is in very nice original condition and it will appeal to a wide variety of collectors due to it's drivability and excellent gas efficiency.
